-VC rewards best students from Epe

As part of activities that commemorated the 4th Founder’s Day of the Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH), the institution during the celebration on Monday honoured her outstanding students for the 2024/25 academic session.
The Founder’s Day celebration was marked by lecture, cultural performances, highlight of LASUSTECH achievements in the last four years and facility tour.
Five students from the institution’s Colleges were announced as the best students with Ruth Ayomide Ajayi, a 300level student, Department of Animal Science, College of Agriculture with CGPA: 4.97, emerging as LASUSTECH overall best student for the 2024/25 session.

The students were presented with Prof. Adebisi M. Balogun’s Scholarship Awards of N75, 000 each by the sponsor of the award. They were also honoured with Award of Recognition as University Scholar 50% Administrative fee.

To further encourage academic excellence, Prof. Olumuyiwa Odusanya, Vice Chancellor, LASUSTECH fulfilled his pledge to honour best students (male and female) from his home town – Epe, every year.

”I encourage us to work together to achieve the objectives of the university.
”On a personal note, I have donated a prize for the best graduating student per year to be known as Professor Olumuyiwa and Mrs Morenike Odusanya, the pioneer vice-chancellor’s prize of one hundred thousand naira(100, 000,00) and gave the university the sum of five hundred thousand naira (500,000,00) for this purpose.”

She attributed her success to total commitment to her studies and consistency.
